...ok...it is...I know...but still...*shudders*.
Alright, I know they're a odd looking couple, and there's still a few months where they were all alone post-Sunnydale, as exposed from Tales of the Slayer which has pretty much all been made canon now...scarily enough...so I'll agree that at least Drac probably cares about Xander, but, he doesn't have any of the restraint any of the main vamps on the series had (soul, chip, chip and soul). In fact, he's done some horrible things since the start of the arc even. Besides, Drac's presence in the series still feels like a slap in the face...if he wasn't "Dracula"...I'd be more willing to like them as a couple...but only just... -Sara |

Maybe not having a chip or a soul makes him a better companion for Xander? He chooses to look out for him not because he has to or feels he ought to (or has nothing better to do)

My mom's religion was against doctors, never went except for a physical. And of course the mandatory vaccines, stuff like that. My school thought I was suicidal once cause of a joke... Got seen by a shrink who declared me mentally stable. Hmm, nope. No record of ADD. |

...well maybe they realized they Xander with Renee and needed an out...I mean Joss has blatantly said Anya would be present in the series near the half way point...so while Joss has gone crazy, it's very plausible for that to be the reason...
