Thanks! I'm kind of odd, in a weird way. wink.gif

Also, my real name happens to be Sara as well. Which is why my father's cousin decided to give me that nickname. Be glad you didn't get stuck with it. smile.gif

when i got my frist blog. i used stupidgurl. then from there i changed it to shadowgurl. cause I like Shadow the Hedgehog and Shadows are mysterious and dark.

now a few weeks ago in it's latest evolution. i changed it to Shadow Angel. it's like thos drawling of Angels with Dark Wings. I mean. Cause I am sweet...sorta. which is the angel part. Then I'm biploar so there is the Dark or shadow part of me. so yeah. However now I have told everone. Shit so now everyone knows. Oh well. Every one is crazy some how.

Shadow Angel

well nothin really about mine i just made it on the top of my head. I don't like X-men that much though he was my favorite next to Beast. I wanted it to be writerjunkie but I had some problems with gettin it actived and I was all confused and lazy to get that fixed. So I picked this, though writerjunkie would be better and fit me better because I love to write constantly. I write stories or fics it doesn't matter I just love to make stories.

my name's pretty basic. i was in 7th or 8th grade, and a couple of my friends called each other "bob" and "george" for reasons i can't remember. i teased them about it, saying they couldn't have those names because they were girls. so "george" became "georgina" and since we didn't know the real feminine of "bob" (if there is one), i made up "bobina" so it would rhyme with "georgina." the original "bob" moved away the next year, so i became "bobina."

So this topic is kinda old, but whatev.

Swan Anderson was my great-great grandfathers name before he changed it to get into the United States because they wern't allowing anymore "Andersons" in, or so I'm told.

I never met him or anything, but he sounded pretty cool, and hey, he was Swedish, which is also super cool. So, like, props to him 'n stuff.

Mine's from an old late-60's/early-70's soap opera called "Dark Shadows". It had a main character who was a (mostly) good vampire, another who was a werewolf, a witch, a Frankenstein-like creation called "Adam", flashbacks to events of previous centuries... sound familiar? cool.gif Anyway, my mom was a big fan back in the day, and would always get talking about it and how good it was anytime a show or movie with vampires would come along (luckily it's out on DVD now, so she doesn't have to remember it nostalgically--she can watch it anytime she wants).

It's hard to remember for sure, now, but I'm pretty sure I started watching "Buffy" because it sounded similar and I thought maybe I'd enjoy it as much as she enjoyed her show, once upon a time. Turns out I did, probably even more so. "Barnabas" was the name of the main character, the vampire, so it's kind of an ode to my mom... smile.gif

Mine is either really cute or really stupid depending on how you look at it... rolleyes.gif

The 'Dushku' bit has a little story; I was 10, watching this amazing girl on Buffy who I'd already seen in a movie and was totally in love with (in that ultra passionate way only ten-year-olds can be! happy.gif ) when my mother walks in with a heap of forms. She was trying to fill in all this stuff for my secondry school and asked if I wanted to change my surname to make it easier on the teachers (I should probably point out here that I have one of those immencely complicated double-barrelled names that noone can pronounce) I was quite indignant and told her that I liked my surname and the only time it was ever going to be changed was when I married that girl(cue pointing at the TV)! Obviously I didn't know that her surname was just as complicated as mine (only much shorter!) and she has to explain it to everyone she meets too! biggrin.gif

My mother thought this was hilarious of course and told all my cousins who call me 'Little Mrs. Dushku' and make sure to miss-pronounce it EVERY TIME! Big families are mean! dry.gif

And... the 'Princess' part is my other nick-name! Because I couldn't be more princessly if I tried! And I don't mean in the 'pink party dress and believes in fairies' kind of way, more in the... 'imagine a steriotypical, British, old-fashioned dutchess' kind of way, uh... but young! My bedroom is in a tower of a big old house on a hill just outside the city. And... I have blonde ringlets (don't laugh!)! and... I go to lots of balls and I'm really ill so everyone has to be delicate with me ALL the time (which sucks! sad.gif ) and I miss lots of school so I have a tutor. Plus I'm the baby of a family of 40 and all my friends are older than me...

I don't get to bathe with a naked Faith though which is a shame dry.gif !

That's about it... kind long-winded. Sorry about that!

haha, so esiuol's name makes much more sense to me now. every time i happened to see a post by you i'd have to pause and try to figure out how to pronounce it. everytime i tried, it sounded a lot like when dogs try to speak. which is a pretty horrifying sound.

anyway, my name is a little bit of a song called Jaws Theme Swimming By Brand New. i just dig the song *shrug*.

I use Lizzie Beam because my sixth grade teacher, who I had a HUGE crush on, used to call me that. She just came up with it one day and it stuck with me.

So, newbie here, decided to introduce myself with my explanation.

The summer after my freshman year of college, a couple friends took me to Warped Tour, which was the first concert I'd ever been to. So we're watching Alien Ant Farm and people are throwing tortillias everywhere like little frisbees. They even threw some on the stage and between songs, the band would toss them back into the crowd. I thought it was pretty funny, and I was like, "Huh, not every day you see flying tortillias." After that, anytime I needed a screen name, I used flyingtortillias, but over the years it's shortened to what it is now.

I'm never good at coming up with screen names and such, so I originally thought of doing something using my favorite computer game - Tomb Raider. Maybe using Faith or Buffy with Raider, but that just sounded weird, and anything else made me sound like an Oakand Raider's fan. So I thought, hey i'm a violinist, and well it rocks... so my name became stringsrock. A very exciting story, i know.
