Heee i was just about to bookmark this so i could google them later. I'm fairly sure i know where to find the Dylan ones and Oralfxation ones (hell I've read them so i don't really need the... yeah, ok nvm), but the other ones I'm not 100% sure. Just pointing me in the direction of whichever site their on would be a great help.

Phoenix Burning by Yahtzee is one of my all time favs. Set in the future, Buffy comes back after the Gift but to a very different world then the one she left.

The wonderful Auld Aquaintance Series can be found on NWHepcat's site. It's a series of seven fics that start around Season 7's Storyteller and goes from there. It's Faith/Xander but its wonderfully written and beautifully told

ok I was hoping someone could help me out with a few questions mainly about the fact that you could tell that faith had fallen for buffy when she came to sunnydale it was clear that angel,spike,riley,and parker weren't her true love I just wish they would have given more storyarch and have buffy tell faith she at least knew faith had feelings for her

Make it clear also what exactly you're asking. We're all of the same mind pretty much here...that there was something deeper between Buffy and Faith. That's a given, but a show that had a lot of younger viewers couldn't have it's main character be gay/bi now could they So yeah, start a new thead and ask your questions there, I'm sure some people would be glad to answer them

Okay, probably my favorite Faith fanfic of all times is:
"The Way, Way Back" by Liz Estrada. Its not fuffy, actually, but I don't want to give too much away about it, other than to say "Damn, Liz Estrada can write!"

That's a top one, will have to ponder the other four a bit

I thought I'd dust this thread off seeing as it's been a few years and i know there has to be new favorites or finished stories out there. I'm a bit new to the Fuffy fic, not sure why it took me so long to wander over to this side of the fandom but wow I'm sure I have a ton of catching up.

So far I've read everything I can find from BattleKitty. I love how epic her fics are and she really gets the characters so well. So what is everyone's new (or maybe old?) Top 5?

Links to the fics would be nice as it seems there are a lot of the old links to previous stories in this thread no longer work. There's so many stories and sites out there that I have no clue where to go next for some awesome Fuffy Epicness.

1. Damned If I Don't, Damned If I Do... by Bkitty - Firstly it's worth noting that I love long stories. And damn.....this story was a hell of a ride!!! I was so pissed off sometimes, then I almost died laughing at some parts.... and then I again had an overwhelming desire to kill as heroes and the author) One fantastic roller coaster ride. Absolutely rocks! I liked that there were so many original characters and they are so well developed, especially Toni. Her character so realistic and very lovable... I had a soft spot for her))) Best original character!
I think that BKitty did a great job. I love when the story is not only a drama, but a lot of humor. And Bkitty managed to make the perfect mix of drama, sex, action and humor. I was thrilled until the last page and never get tired of this story. Ha, I was lucky that I read this story when it was already over, not sure I could do it over the years, I'm very impatient. Although the ending left many unanswered questions, I still love this story and hope there will be a sequel. Ohh, and fuffy... ))) Bkitty, you are amazing!!! +++++


2. After The Fall by Electra - I really admire the talent and energy of this author. I love almost all her stories, but this one especially. She managed to create a new world - the brutal world of gladiators. Characters, feelings, experiences, conversations ... everything was great. Action is intense and suspenseful. I liked how the relationship evolved between Faith and Buffy. Loved the tension, I do it always)) I would still read a hundred pages of this world, to be honest. Electra - you're super, thank you very much.


3. As The Sun Goes Down | NYC’s Sky/Sunnydale Worked Out Just Fine | I'm Not in Love by TidalWave Well, I can't pick just one, I love all these 4 stories by this author. All of them cause different emotions in my head, and they may like each other a bit, but still they are quite different from most other fanfics their darkness. And yes, I like a little dark stories sometimes, but with a good ending predominantly. A talented writer, heartbreaking stories, but with a good ending, and this is what we need. Thank you, TidalWave.

4. All Too Human - Invalid Reality Well, first I really liked the beginning of the story, first chapters and Faith thoughts about the whole "party". I liked how the relationship evolved with Buffy and Faith, it was not too fast nor too slow. There was sadness, there was much passion, and it's all so sweet, and you know, sometimes sweet is what you need. I liked the plot with another dimension, where they fell and what was happening there and then. And it's a long story, and you already know how much I love it, ha-ha)) Invalid Reality, thank you so much.


5. ..... Ooh, I don't know, I love a lot of stories, I can't select only 5 stories, so I'll leave this place empty. I only want to say again thanks everyone for their work, especially in such authors as Sapphire Smoke, Dylan, Frass, Bobbi, Salix, KW_Jordan, Kelly Smith, Asher, and so on and so forth. You guys ROCK!!!

I just gave someone, who doesn't particularly care much for the Buffy/Faith pairing, a list of some fics that I thought were really good, so I've had this topic on my mind recently. Totally gonna check the recommended fics here, btw. Anyways, this is my personal top 5 Buffy/Faith fics, in no particular order:

Walk the Line by Electra. I've never read a fic that I've felt captures Faith's character in the post season 7 era so well. Also, the author really succeeds at capturing the humor of the show. I totally love this fic to bits... So, fine, this one is first for a reason ^^

Not My Generation by Micktrex. It's still in progress, but I've really been digging this apocalypse fic. Buffy goes a bit crazy, but she's so well written that she still feels like she's in character to me, if that makes sense. Not much Fuffy content yet, but I have a feeling that it's only a matter of time

Of Little Faith by Jinxgirl. It's more of a Buffy/Faith friendship story, but I still have to put this one up here. It elicited the full range of emotional responses out of me, and Faith as a 7-year-old is just the cutest thing ever.

Forgive, If Not Forget by Fembuck. This fic isn't on this site (blasphemy!). Buffy convinces Faith to stay after the body-swap incident. It's funny and romantic and there are a lot of particular scenes that always make me laugh, though I won't mention specifics since I don't want to give anything away. Fembuck is a fantastic writer, so I'd recommend checking her work out if you aren't familiar with her (she writes for a huge variety of fandoms).

The Diary by Dylan. It's hard to choose a fave out of all of Dylan's fics, but I'll pick this one. This fic is pure sexiness distilled into word form.

And I'll give an honorable mention to Princess Alexandria's Sire. It's a Willow/OC fic, where Willow takes in a soulless vampire that was turned by Vamp Willow from the Wishverse.

Ok, that's 6, so I'm totally cheating. Before I go, I'd also like to give a shout out to Rebelrsr, Frass, Sapphire Smoke, and a whole bunch of other Fuffy authors that I love but didn't have space to mention.

I would do this...except that I have series issues with remembering the title of stories, as well as the authors. I mix everything up in my head. So I will have to get back to this once I look some up lol...here are the first three I can remember though

Electra. The only author that I've heard of that received a tweet from ED! So spill girl! What's the Dark Slayer have to say? Oh, and her stories are always awesome.

Lol thanks justagrump...everyone is soooo prolific that if the story isn't super long, it's really hard to remember the individual ones with prompts of the title and/or author. Doesn't help that so many are so good either.

Honestly, most of these are just representative fics from some of my favorite authors. Every one of them has other fictions published that I enjoyed probably just as much, in many cases. And with the exception of the last one, I mostly excluded one shots, even ones that I found amazing. I rather want an honorable mention section... but the rules say 5, so I confine myself to 5.

Although this little exercise has made me more aware of just how many really excellent stories I've read and how many really talented authors are out there.



...I caved on the honorable mentions. Jinxgirl, Asher, Dafmeister, Electra, and Oralfxatn in particular I really would have liked to be able to include. Should have been a top 10 list.

anyway as I see it...

1) Whatever it Takes. (Bobbi) - have gushed about this one before still; love it.

2) Damned if I do Damned if I don't (Bkitty) - as with many I followed this from the start over its loong journey see my other thread!

3) Complement - Michele - the old ones were so good.

4) The Varos Triad- Steff - I think this was my first fuffy obsession

5) The Rogue Slayer - Kinetic Kid- just something different-

looking through my links list realising how many hundreds of stories I had read over the years... I am sure outside the top 2 would vary any given day...

I guess timeline wise I'm still pretty new to the Fuffyverse. Its sort of embarrassing to admit but up until a few months ago it never occurred to me that other people were going rawr meow grrrowl whenever Faith and Buffy were onscreen together. (No I don't actually make those noises.) .... (Okay maybe I do...)

Anyways once a friend pointed me here and I discovered a wonderful new world and this thread was a huge help towards guiding me to some great fics. I have a job that lets me read at least six hours a day so basically I can pretty much read fics all day long. I suppose at this point I've read enough to have some favorites. These are all Fuffy cause thats my favorite.

In no particular order here are my five (haha) favorite fics...

1) Sleight of Hand and Walk the Line by Electra. Sleight of Hand is fantastic. Really my favorite S3 fic that I've read so far. I just love fics that show Faith's "bad" side. This one is great because it has wonderful chemistry between B/F. Sparks are flying! And it also really has a great feel for that internal conflict that Faith had before it all went really really bad. Walk the Line has been mentioned a few times already and I think everyone knows its awesome. This really is everything that I would have hoped that a Faith the Vampire Slayer series would be. Walk the Line is in S2 now and that is a very good thing.

2) Omega Rising by FindHope. Okay I dragged myself kicking and screaming into this one and it is hands down one of my favorite fics ever. Zombie apocalypse is not normally a big turn on for me, but seriously this is just an awesome Faith centric fic. I'm currently contemplating stalking the author so we can get a sequel. Read it. Now! Then help me with the stalking.

3) Barriers and A Million Chances and The Love Boat by Bobbi. Actually EVERYTHING by Bobbi. Bobbi's writing is like crack to me. She writes humor better than any other author I've read. I find myself laughing a lot. Sometimes painfully so. Its great. She also doesn't seem to mind my tendency to stalk the authors I admire. I don't do anything creepy. Mostly just hang outside of her windows and stuff. Oh and reread all of her fics over and over.

4) Break Me by KW Jordan. Okay this one is NOT for the faint of heart and probably not for most. Definitely got some heavy kink going on here. I'd say it hits that NC21 rating nicely. What do I love about this fic? Everything. As much as I love reading about the lighter side of B/F I also equally love the darker side between them. And Break Me has that in spades. There is passion, intensity and possession going on here. I've already offered to beg KW for a sequel, but she says no. Don't think stalking would help here, so I'll refrain.

5) Buffy 3:16 by Frass. Mentioned a few times already and I wanted to be more original, but I couldn't leave this one out. Seriously the best prison fic I've read. I just love all of the anger and intensity in this one.

6) Cave Slayer Stories. Okay I gave this one its own category because... I wanted to. I wasn't a huge fan of the Beer Bad episode so wasn't looking forward to these stories very much. Seriously Slayers with an IQ of 50? Ehhhhh... But actually it works! Can we say animalistic sexual escapades? Yes we can! My two favs are Banana Love by 4chunfvrsthbrave and Id Pro Quo by Bobbi.

Okay so it wasn't five. Did you really think it would be just five? Ha...I'm a rebel. I'm on the edge. There are obviously a lot of other great ones out there and I tried to mention a few that haven't already been named. This is a great thread and would love so see some other people's opinions.

Hey, if anyone's gonna marry Bobbi's fics, it's gonna me be! I'm not exactly new around here but no one knows me and I've been a lurker for a long time. Guess that sorta makes me new. But I gotta share my top 5 that I have read and reread and reread more times than I can count.

1) Safe As Kittens by Bobbi. This fic... damn! This fic is... just... I can't even express how much I love it and wish it were human so I could marry it.

2) Whatever It Takes by Bobbi. This is a close tie for my fave. I must read more like this. Bobbi, you must write more like this. I love the angst and how you write Faith. You understand her and write her better than anyone else I've read!

3) After The Fall by Electra. This is the first fic that actually made me cry. I won't say why in case you haven't read it yet. It is a fantastic fic and the writing is so vivid that I could really picture the landscape, everything. What Buffy had to go through... what a fic!

4) Song Fic by Bobbi. It was because of this fic that I officially registered on the forum, to send Bobbi a message. But I don't think it was ever received cuz I never got a reply. Old email address? After reading this fic, I was in such an emotional head space, remembering an ex that reminds me of Faith, etc and this fic just opened me up, made me feel so vulnerable and raw. I haven't read this one over and over like the others, but it is one of my faves.

5) I sort of have a 3-way tie for this. 2 of the fics have a very similar theme, but both are great. These Four Walls by Liljemsey and A Chance In Hell by Ophelia C. And the final one tied for 5th place is a very interesting story that I wish the writer would have continued. Slayers Inc, Series by Erlynmyre.

Oh this sucks. I still have more faves to list! New Beginnings, Old Enemies by Dylan is also one I've read over and over.

I have been terrible at not giving anyone feedback and for that, I am sorry. There are so many fantastic fics out there and I'm desperate to read more so please don't stop writing!
