What do YOU want to read?

I'm sitting here thinking and wondering what to write next even though I'm in the middle of another story at the moment. I'm at a point in time where I'm not sure what to write cos it's all been done before, so I'm turning to you, readers, to tell me what kind of a Fuffy fic you want to read.

Any ideas are welcome and I'll do my best to please. I need to write and need to get my inspiration sparked at 100% again, but I keep hitting walls--50ft thick walls that just kill me to be honest

Personally, I think you should write another piece to The Reckoning and The Return. In fact now I'm wondering why I never have bugged you about that before haha. Guess I kinda forgot for a moment all about those two very AWESOME stories.

Are you only looking for Fuffy ideas? I have a pretty neat idea but it involves Willow as well. I think it would be neat to have both Faith and Buffy set on taking Willow as their own...with each of their super senses and each of them being very predatory and whatnot it would be interesting to see what would happen.

Like Southie, I'm using my very first post on this forum to let you know that I really love your fics and think your writing is awesome. I'm sorry I've been lazy to give feedback but I think I owe you, Bobbi and many others, a great deal of praise and possibly worship for the fics you have put out.

I'm also sorry to hear you have hit a writer's block wall but hopefully you can bust out of that. Perhaps you could use that trapped/blocked feeling to inspire you to write a prison fic cuz really, there just aren't enough of those out there. Bobbi's "Safe As Kittens" is one of my top 3 fave fics and I think you should rival that fic with one of your own so I can have a 'top 4' fave.

It is true that most things have been done already but hey, so what! The general idea might be similar but every fic is different. I mean, I've read many fics where Faith is hurt and desperate for Buffy's acceptance, only to be turned away over and over until Buffy finally gives in and let me tell you, I'm dying to read more. MORE DAMMIT! I can't get enough! I rely on awesome writers such as yourself to feed my Buffy/Faith fix. So help a girl out, bust out a prison fic, and please feed this hungry fan.

Ah yes, The Reckoning and The Return definitely needs a third piece and believe me I've been trying to find the inspiration to do just that, but it hasn't come yet

As for the idea with Willow, I don't think I'd be able to write something like that so to answer the question as for it only being Fuffy ideas, yes that's pretty much all I'm looking for or a Buffy/Faith/Other and the other character being a OC kind of thing you know? But it's a good idea and I'm sure someone else out there will write something like that eventually

Aww thank you, so glad you enjoy what I write. Hearing stuff like that from new people keeps me inspired to write and share it with the rest of the world instead of just writing it for myself

As for a prison fic? I was thinking of giving that a go, but I doubt I can top Bobbi's or even Frass' prison fics. Frass' Buffy 3:16 is one of my top favourite prison fics just FYI. Maybe somewhere down the line I'll write a prison fic, or at least stick a few chapters of one (or both) being in prison. It would be fun and there's always ideas there, just wasn't sure if anyone would want to read more of them when there's already so many fantastic prison fics out there

Thanks for your input, it's getting the wheels turning. As for the writers block, it happens from time to time but is increasingly getting worse since I'm realizing I'm running out of ideas and don't want to write another story with the same sort of plot as an older story of mine. Hoping to get a lot of writing done over the summer, but I can't promise anything here

Well since you have said it, I can't help but reminsce about our chats where we would throw out fic ideas to each other...of course with them heavily influenced by alcohol, I can't remember not a one but I will say this (since I do love a good AU), maybe you could think along the lines of some AU's. I know you have a few under your belt, but I certainly wouldn't be opposed to you writing more of them. Like you said, most of canon has been done...not that you can't always find a way to put your own spin on things no matter how many times the story has been told, but AU tends to get you thinking outside of that vamp and demon rewrite box. A particular AU that I adore are school fics, but that's just my preference.

I will also add that much like you (which is one of the things I adore about your writing/fics) is that I can't really stand behind anything other than fuffy. I mean I can tolerate them dating other people beause after all I'm a closeted angst/drama whore, but I do prefer me some Buffy and Faith.

No no, I don't 'enjoy' what you write. I fricken LOVE what you write! I know I never gave you reviews, I was lazy, I apologize. But I want to make it up to you by helping you out of any writer's block that you may have or that may come up. I used to run a forum on Birds Of Prey and helped many a writer unblock themselves. Usually it just took flattery, sometimes I had to resort to threats. Please don't make me threaten you, it isn't pretty. lol

You don't need to top Bobbi's or Frass' prison fics but with your talent in writing, you can sure rival them. You said there are many prison fics out there. WHERE??? I haven't found all that many. And I seriously doubt you need to worry that people won't want to read more because new Buffy/Faith fics are getting harder and harder to come by so I know anything that gets written will greatly be appreciated by readers.

If you want, I can do some brainstorming and PM you a variety of ideas that might help get your creative juices flowing. Let me know how I can help, I owe you that much for the many hours of enjoyable reading you have provided me with. I simply must have more.

You know I have to second or third...or fourth? the idea of a prison fic. I've read a few (most from Oral's challenge), but I think you would knock this idea out of the park. There is a darkness in your writing of Faith that I think would really suit this theme. Not sure how to get Buffy in prison. I kind of hate the idea of her committing a crime as it just doesn't seem...right. If you do decide to take this endeavor up I have only two requests. No killing of B or F! And uh...maybe some hot prison sex. *grins*

But seriously I think you would slay a prison fic. Get it? Slay? Ha ha ha...okay never mind.

Also I am really enjoying All I Ever Wanted. Just a really nice relaxing piece. Kind of love it.

Can't have one of my fav writers with writers block...I have enough for the both of us.

Soooo... I was watching Bound the other day and thought it would be great to take the buffy crew and pop them in that setting... Buffy as Violet, Faith as Corky, Angel as Caeser but instead of killing him they go on the run, insert everyone else as you please...I am a fan of mobster movies and female mobsters are awesome and underdone. Here's hoping the block comes to an end soon...

well I have two ideas, they are partially AU,

I will try explain them hopping I'm not gonna make your blockage even more strong O_O wich I sure hope doesn't happen ... don't wanna have people chasing me with huge baseball bats lol

so anyway the ideas are all potentially fuffy they are not developed at all ... like i said just ideas

first one: faith do not shows up until season 4, she is not a slayer, she is tho some kind of unique creature (the only one that survived from her tribe maybe), captured and hold in one of the initiative cell, being studied by walsh etc. etc.

maybe buffy sees her while being given a tour there, and she realize that she doesn't get the vibe she usually gets from demons...or maybe buffy doesn't see her until the big fight with adam ....
uhm yeah that sound really interesting ... XD

second one: well this one maybe more similar to some fics out there i guess... timeline start in season three...the reason that make faith go nut is diff ... like she has a sister dawn ('cause let's be honest the key doesn't look anything like our loved buffy) and she extremely sick ...

faith still kill allan by accident but the reason she team up with the mayor is 'cause he want's her by her side and he offer her a deal ... a cure for little dawn ... she knows that her sis doesn't have much time so she gave in to the offer ... all this happened without the scooby gang knowledge ... when faith wakes up from the coma she pissed off cause she gave up everything for nothing lil dawn is dead ... o better yet she is alive and has no clue that faith is her sis ... she think her older sister is buffy .... and yet again buffy has everything that faith wanted ....

well so this are just cues ... maybe you can work around them ... or ignore them all together lol you choose ... just hope your inspiration will start soon enough XD

It's 2 in the morning and I'm absolutely shattered, so I'm just gonna throw this out there and then go to bed.

Ok, so I was reading this thread when this little idea came to me. Knowing my luck it's been done a million times and I've somehow managed to miss it, but I've never seen it, so... yeah. Anyway, basic idea is this: All human AU, so no slayers etc. and Faith is in prison for whatever reason (could be minor, could be major, your choice). Buffy is the prison shrink (or at least, one of them), and is assigned to Faith. One thing leads to another and we get the fuffy goodness XD I know prison fics have been done to death, but I don't think I've ever seen an all human one, or one with B working there rather than being a prisoner, so at least it's a little different?

Yeah, so little random ideas here (I had this worked out really well in my head but I'm having trouble writing it all out, so sorry if this post isn't making much sense), Faith, being a baseline human rather than a slayer, would have a considerably different prison experience than full slayer Faith, afterall, attitude will only get you so far. So, possibilities there. Not sure about the legal issues with B hooking up with one of her patients, but hey that's why you're the author and I'm just idea guy. Also, if it's like a major reason that F's in prison for, you could have B trying to overthrow her sentence or something? I dunno, like I said, random thoughts. OH! Angel the prison guard!


Sorry for the stream of conciousness-ness of this post, I was pretty much just typing crap as it came in to my head, so feel free to ignore everything I just typed.


Oh, almost forgot, that's the just the idea I had, but the thread title asked what I'd LIKE to read, so, I really love domestic fics. Like, B and F making a life for themselves, 2.4 kids and all that. I know a lot of people probably find them monumentally boring, but I just love them for some reason. Maybe I just like seeing my two favourite girls getting some good luck for a change, I dunno. Just throwing that out there since you asked, you seemed to want stuff that hadn't been done before, but I figured I might as well mention this stuff.

Edit- Ok, note to self: read the thread in future, the prison fic idea has been mentioned several times already, dum-dum.
