Well its kind of funny actually. Several years ago I had a very good friend who was from Iran. My name is Jen and she would always call me Jendeh as a joke. It is actually a very rude word and a completely insulting thing to say to someone in that language which is why she thought it was so funny and her mother was mortified. The actual spelling is jende and I can't remember why we added the H. Its kind of a terrible inside joke that I am the butt of lol.
The nickname stuck unfortunately and somehow I ended up embracing the name, if not the deeper meaning. Still its more than okay with me if you folks just want to call me Jen.  This post has been edited by Jendeh on July 05, 2012 12:18 am |

Can I call you "Deh"? OW!  That's a pretty funny story and a cool way to get your name, but it's nothing compared to how I got mine!  So "Bobbi" actually means...um...uh...it means "Bobbi".  But the way I got my name is really unusual! Um...Uh...My parents gave it to me.  *sigh* I've got nothing.  |
