What does your User Name mean?
I always thought it's interesting why people choose the user names they have. Some are rather obvious, others are totally cryptic. Some have numbers others don't. So, tell us the fascinating tale behind yours. I'm going to start with my rather boring story: The name "Thieving Magpie" actually came to me from the title of a live album of the band Marillion. Most of you have probably never heard of the band itself, but I'm sure all of you heard their most popular song "Kayleigh" at least once on the radio. I used this name since 1999 in many forums and I never felt the urge to use a different one. |

Ok well mine unfortunately isnt as short and sweet as TM's.
While I was in high school I got addicted to BTVS. People used to call me Buffy because I would always be the one breaking up fights, I was a lot stronger than most of the guys in my school and always in the library talking to the weird librarian who actually happened to have an accent if you really listened for it---it was that noticable but British none the less--unless she was faking it of course... ANYHEW In all honesty I just liked to read thats why I was there soo often. Anyhew one of my best friends at the time said that it was time for me to make a name for our Senior Sweaters (in my HS seniors got to wear sweaters apart from the rest of the underclassmen--plus i went to Cathoic school) So I choose Latinabuffy--cause Im Puerto Rican and Buffy seemed to fit me perfectly The 1217 is simple--its my bday---but yes that is the legacy of my SN---its stuck ever since. besos~~~ -------------------- Buffy: You get fangs, I'll get horny...

Mine is kinda boring too:
J is the first Initial of my alias (Jace) and R is the first initial of my real name, which I shall not share here because it's girly and I like my alias better. and then Ficwriter is kinda obvious. After I made my user name my sister had to point out that it looked like Jr. Ficwriter, as in I've never written day in my life. Well, my username is pretty simple... 'All Over Me' is a movie I totally identified with and I love it so much I made it my username... lol thats really all there is to it... However I do have a new reason for using this username... All Over Me is the title to that beautiful song thats in 'Loving Annabelle" ... anyway glad i could share

Asher is the name of a vampire that I'm quite fond of in the Anita Blake vampire novels. He's french and handsome but haunted, and I really liked his name. Mine is kinda lame....
Rocker= Love me some Rock music and the title RaveWolfPup didn't sound right... Wolf= My favorite animal of all time! Pup= A childhood nickname that has stuck with me all these years. I was chosen Pup in a 'pack' of mine. Kinda a youngling and new to how things worked. Plus I am jsut like a kid, never give me chocolate and coke past 8pm or you in for some trouble  Got named Pup after the first time my friends found that one out the hard way.... *smirk* -------------------- "Hey, I likes me some kink, but if you think I'm going downtown on this chick, you chose the wrong chosen one!"

My name comes from an old white P-1800 V0lvo that I used to drive. We started calling it the White Avenger, and it just stuck. When I needed i pseudonym, it was just the first thjng that came to mind.

Mine is easy to explain...I am totally in love with eliza dushku...she is amazing and wicked hot...i saw her first in bring it on and thought she was awesome, but then when i got into Buffy and saw she was in it then i just love eliza...my fave actress...can't wait till her upcoming movies come out like open graves and the alphabet killer...so yeah i just love eliza dushku!!!

Yeah she is coming out with Open Graves which I saw an interview on Youtube about and she has The Alphabet Killer which is another preview I saw. I must say the Alphabet Killer looks really good and as always she looks incredibly hot!!! so yeah I dunno exact dates when they come out but you can check on IMDB and stuff!! Oh and yeah thanks for not stepping on my turf(lol)! I don't blame you though, how can you not love her!!?? |

"quest" was my first online nick, back in the days when I was writing Xena fanfiction. I had kind of a "knight in shining armor" persona going on, when we used to role play and do mini stories on the original "lawless" xena list. SOOOooo, quest was easy to come up with. Since it's been my fanfic psuedo all along, I thought I'd stick with it when I hit Buffy land.

The White Avenger was the character in a fantasy story I wrote back when I was in college, a sort of pre-Highlander immortal who spent eternity tracking down and killing the members of an evil cult responsible for killing off his entire race. Years later, it became the name of my beloved 1963 P-1800 Volvo.

Mine's just an original character in the fic I'm writing right now, though no promises if it will ever make it on to this site...(I have problems writing first chapters). She's just one of the Scooby's kids in it...but it definitely involves Fuffy...but I won't say anymore, just in case I do ever finish it.

Well, thanks for the welcome, but it's not that it's horrible, it's that I don't even know it's status...I know the story, it's just putting it on paper is really, really hard for me sometimes. That's what I meant whether or not it will ever see the site, or even the light of day for that matter.

Mine has to do with a nickname (Sassafras) given to me by my father's cousin when I was a little baby. It stuck with me all these years, especially when my friends heard my mom call me that one day. I didn't want to use Sassa, which is what the actual nickname has devolved to over the years, because I didn't feel in that kind of a mood.
I thought Frass would be cool, and I added an extra S to it because Fras just didn't look right. And if that just made no sense whatsoever I blame the fact that I am on antibiotics (for only the second time in my life) and painkillers. They're really messing with my head and ability to form a coherent sentence. I can't wait until I can stop taking them. |
