This is a delightful little fic about the incredibly complicated relationship that is Buffy and Faith. It has its own kind of continuity to it in that food is always a factor in each chapter and it is one of the only fics I know of to use second person POV.

No doubt about it, this story is one of the best I've ever read. In fact, I was just reading chapters 15 & 16 last night (out loud to an appreciative Fuffy fan fiction 'book' club!) and kept marveling at how well Princess has constructed this gorgeous piece of work.

Each chapter is fantastic. Each installment is written as a vignette -which can stand alone, because that's how good it is- but obviously contributes to the overall theme/progression of the story.

It's just amazing, really. Brilliantly done.

The characterization is so quirky you can't help but feel enamored to the way she writes the characters.

By Princess? I'm definitely checking this out. And uh, Fuffy Book Club? I wasn't aware we had one.

Totally gonna wade in here with my own rec for this amazing story. It is a brilliantly written piece of work.

Yes, that's right, I said it: BRILLIANT.

The 2nd person narrative drew me in immediately, and although it's not a fluffy, easy read, I can't get enough.

Princess Dushku has just recently updated to chapter 23, and I swear every chapter is better than the last. She not only makes these characters real, but she makes them human. No one is an innocent, no one is on a pedestal, but the emotions behind their motivations are as real as anything.

If you haven't tried this story on for size yet, I ask you one question: Why not?!

late on this...but seriously...this fan fic blows my mind...i would recommend it just as an example of great writing, regardless of the fuffy...(although that is very nice)

God damn. You can just read this thing again and again. It is just so gorgeously romantic.

Is this story completed? I'm afraid to start WIP's.

It's not completed but would be a good way to get over your fear of WIP's because it is fantastic and the author does update.


Also for those who have read the story I'm a little slow and quite figure out what it is that Faith has...if anyone could clarify that I would be so grateful

I'm pretty sure it's some form of bipolar disorder. According to the wiki, I'd go with either Depressive or Mixed Affective episode.

I think Bobina said it best - it is brilliant! It really gets you hooked from the first few paragraphs. It really is one of those rare stories that have everything, wonderful emotive writing and very believable and incredible plot line.

Liljemsey, yeah, retz was right. It's bipolar disorder. And some of the meds for that could cause someone with that severe of a case to become zombie like. So yeah. Anyway.

I read this story last week and couldn't stop reading it. It's the first Fuffy Fic I've read and I have to say it's raised the bar for sure! I love the long epic stories that you can get lost in and this one does it so well. I love the characterization of Faith, it feels authentic.

The story finale has been posted. Oh my god. I don't even know how to comment. It's absolutely breathtaking and the story was totally heartbreaking. Check it out for yourselves!

Whenever I read people's reviews and they say things like "I cried! I seriously just cried my eyes out omg!" I want to gouge my eyes out.

Welp. Swallowing my pride . . . this made me boo-hoo like a little baby-back bitch.

Granted the few glasses of wine weren't helping. But Jesus Christ, woman. I was THERE. I was fucking, like, living in their house and shit. I've seen really plucky Buffy's and really stoic Faith's, but you literally nailed it.

So, yeah. I mean, mentally, cursing you out, but outwardly applauding. Brava. 5 stars. Favorited.

That is quite possibly the best start to a review I have ever come across.

It feels very strange to write 'I'm glad you enjoyed...' because that implies I'm very pleased you cried
