Chapter 1: Basement
Author's Notes: Made for Velvetwhip over at Livejournal, i though i'd share.
They stared at each other for a moment, doom moments away from breaking down the door. Creepy bug man had come into Buffy’s house because Cordelia was dumb enough to let him in. “Make-up?” Willow sighed and finished duct taping the cracks in the door.
“He had some great colors, and would it kill you to maybe try a little color?” Cordelia look Willow up and down, “and a change of wardrobe wouldn't kill you.”
“You’re intolerable, I mean here we are at deaths door and you’re criticizing me about my choice of clothes!” Willow stomped past Cordelia down the stairs and walked aimlessly around the enclosed space.
“Well they are tragic.”
“Cordelia just shut up, please.” Willow pinched the bridge of her nose and sighed, she didn't have to patience to deal with Cordelia chase today. Something was after Buffy and she wanted to be there right now, but here she was with Cordelia and stuck in Buffy's basement with Mr. Worm guy trying to kill them.
“I'm just saying, you could probably find a boyfriend if you changed your clothes and slapped a little make-up on your face...”
“Cordelia, this is quiet time.”
“Hey I have been extremely nice to you geeks.”
“Nice?” Willow rolled, “look it up in the dictionary.”
“What's that suppose to mean?”
“I don't know Cordelia, look it up. See above; Cordelia chase. Bitch.” Cordelia stood toe to toe with Willow and both of them glared at each other.
“Whore!” There eyes scanned each other for confirmation, as rage and anger subsided into something neither of them expected. Willow took a step back but Cordelia closed the distance and grabbed Willow by the shoulders, “Cordy.” Cordelia’s lips pressed against Willow’s and for just a second she remained perfectly still, paralyzed on the spot. Willow's hands reached up and ran through Cordelia's long brown locks. As Cordelia's mimicked the same through brown-red hair, they pulled away and fear struck.
“We have to get out of here.” They rang in unison.
