Okay, lets see.

I've been reading the story non stop for a few hours now. I must admit that I started because I couldn't find anything that would draw my attention. But, the story proved me wrong. I love it so far. The next comment will probably be after I take a sleep, wake up and finish reading it. I just had to take a pause here. Cause I'm a die hard Fuffy fan and, this scene? You got me pining for it. Loved it.

Of all the things I love about this chapter -- and there are many, many things to love -- this never ceases to crack me right up:
“Apparently it's back-dated and pro-rated and all that other crap. Oh, and they own a hotel now, apparently.”
“Just one? Low-lives.”
HA! I love a good snark, and Kate is the perfect character to deadpan a line like that one.

This line, too, is pretty much perfect:
"...I think I've finally learned to leave the ending to the end, to shut up and just enjoy what I have for as long as I have it..."
If there's a line to sum up the story thus far, I think this is the one. Faith has used everything she's had, be it slaying or paramedicine to justify whatever actions she's taken, without ever truly *living* her life. It seems like her relationship with Kate, wherever that may end up, is a sort of gateway for Faith to finally find her true purpose.

And whatever anybody else says, Faith and Kate make sense. They're not in it for the grand sweeping romanticism of true love and destiny and all that crap:
“I'm not her, Faith.” Her eyes are closed; she's nearly trembling. “Don't touch me and think of her. Don't you dare.” GORGEOUS line!

The way you've drawn out these characters, in this story, they're real and they're in a real situation, sharing a beautiful moment together.

Doesn't hurt that they make a wicked hot couple.

ETA: Perfect song for that love scene? Don Henley's 'End of the Innocence'. Mmm.

Author Feedback: I'm glad you like the sense of humor I found for Kate! She never did laugh all that much on Angel, mostly I think she had the stick lodged way too far in her ass, so finding a voice for her humor has been difficult.

You've hit the nail in the nuts with your assessment of Faith. And, for that matter, of Fate. I'm surprised the age difference hasn't bothered more people; Lox has to be at least a decade older than Faith, and I think that gives her a perspective on her relationship with Faith that the younger of the two can't quite process yet, but I like that neither one of them is under any kind of delusions about what's going on between them. But more on this later

And I think seeing those two having sex would make me die of the yummies.

Hey there sam sorry i didnt get a chance to review earlier. I had too many thing on my plate. Anyway awesome update, i actually very surprised faith slept with kate right after buffy confessed, no worries tho i get that faith was hurt. Who knew faith gets needy heehee. Anyways thanks again for an amazing chapter. I so glad chapter 18 is out. Oh by the way hope u got laid.

Author Feedback: Dude, no worries. The Fate (Faith + Kate) moment... well... like she said, it kind of just happened. They're both very alone, in very uncertain situations, and they both have a lot of issues to work through. Like I said in one of my notes, I'm letting them all do what comes naturally. And I'm still working on that one part. Maybe it was a little inappropriate to post with the chapter, but dude, you can't write something like that and *nod* get a little low-down tickle. Stay tuned, next chapter posting.... when I write it.

Damn that was hot with Faith and Kate. I get that they both needed that connection but I still really hope that things work out with Faith and Buffy.

Author Feedback: Yeah, I got kinda worked up writing that, I gotta admit. Chapter 18 is in the works, but I refuse to rush it if it doesn't come on its own. And of course, another vote for Fuffy. Does Fate get no love?!

Author Feedback: Like I've said to others who've left similar, dismayed feedback, the fat lady has not yet sung. The story is (probably) far from over, and it's already taken more strange turns that surprised *me* that it looks more like S-curves. Patience, my pretties. Patience...

Oh come on, How can Faith be with Kate, when Buffy profess her love. Faith is so in denial. Please make sure Faith stop it before it gets to far. Poor Buffy!

totally awesome and hot. i love faith/kate so still very happy. poor faith though she's still very confused and strings attached to a job not good. please please do not have them be interrupted.

Author Feedback: If Faith + Buffy = Fuffy, then Faith + Kate = Fate.

But there's a fair amount of story left, yet, and I'm as curious as anyone to see where this will lead. Though it's nice to know that Fate has at least one supporter

i haven't actually read the chapter just had a peak at the end. i think i love you. faith and kate make me so happy and good that faith isn't thinking about buffy. faith still feels like it was a ambush and the kiss was manipulation especially since its now when buffy knew how faith felt about her before. she feels there are strings attached and she has a job she worked hard for and people who depend on her. i will read all of it later or tommorrow.
