nice up-date! bi-weeklys cool, better to take longer and get quality, than to rush and put out trash! series sounds pretty cool too! |

they sound like the perfect little family! its so cute. faith being the protective daddy, who indulges his daughter, with cord being the all knowing mother |

Howdy! Thought I'd add two cents: Don't give Faith her powers back. At least if you are, not any time soon (and iffin ya do, make it a slow process and involve Willow: those two have shit to settle, in a good way). Also noticed that basically, a couple or not, that Cordy and Faith just experienced their first taste of gay discrimination (well, for Faith her first case of non-class-based discrimination. Likely used to that)! Knowing both Cordy and Faith's tempers (and how scary they can be), things will get ugly now and then. Yeup quite the little family and one that could grow I hope. Amanda won't be the only disaffected Slayer out there I'm sure. And don't forget Dana the Truly Crazy Psycho Slayer (tm)! She's gonna show up at some point and Faith's the Watcher on the spot. And if she's ignored (perceived conflict of interest maybe, or just plain ignored) then high explosives (spark be damned) will fly! As for the powers, well, the way the author has things set up, it pretty logical for it to be permanent, and no harm in that. To think that ALL you need are powers to be bad-ass is short sighted and an insult to characters like Gunn. To think that if he'd just gotten off his butt and trained, Xander coulda been as bad-ass as Gunn.... Anywho, Faith is no slouch and given time, effort, and a relearning of her own street skills she can easily rival Gunn (and Cordy's no slouch either). Basically, Faith's gotten dependent on her Slayer, now she's gotta remember who she was before that. Hey, how do you think a beautiful teen female like Faith survived on the street without becoming someone's sex toy, prostitute, or at the least regularly 'taken advantage off' (to put it nicely). By being too damned dangerous to make it worth messing with her. And by being REALLY smart and cunning. Faith needs to keep doing what she's doing and grow back into that as well as learn NEW skills. Get an education so she can draw on and understand new information, learn disciplined fighting styles to supplement and enhance her own street style. To remember those street smarts and cunning to aid small-town Amanda on the streets of LA (and where to look). Use those same street smarts to build her own web of contacts, safe houses, information sites and so, as well as learn who to trust and not. And lastly to relearn that you NEVER give up, EVER. True, survival's good, but it ain't enough you need hope too. Worse, giving up takes away your options, then you've got nothing! Faith forgot that. Faith's no longer got super powers, but as a friend pointed out, our little five foot nothing caveman ancestors took on 9ft+ 2000ib cave bears with pointy sticks and guts, and the bear's extinct and we're not! And do you think ONE girl in all the world held back ALL that evil all that time? NO! Remember, Gunn and Co. were fighting and winning against the vampires and demons before Angel showed up, and Riley's boys, if it hadn't been for Walsh's betrayal were making Buffy largely obsolete. Faith can be every bit as effective, and someone needs to take Angel's place on the streets now that Angel's moved onto the boardroom! Last reason for not giving Faith powers anytime soon. This is a story to see how a Slayer handles this sorta situation. And strangely, as Faith is a proven survivor, she's suited for the trials. But on the other hand since Faith WANTED to be a Slayer, she's got a bigger challenge emotionally. Makes it all that more interesting. Oh, and why hasn't Faith asked Cordy why she hasn't joined Angel at W&H? Sooner or later she's gonna wonder. Good conversation to have. The Cracker! |

wonder what kind of trouble annies curosity about faith is going to cause? and her father, might be jumping to conclusions, but i don't think hes going to be good for faith! neither faith nor cordy have really thought much about their relationship, have they? love that the four of them come across as a family, way cute! nice up-date. keep them coming! Author Feedback: Thanks for this review and the heads up; chapter 27 isn't even typed up yet so I'm not sure why it showed here! Glad you're enjoying it so far, hopefully it gets better |

Howdy! Okay, I think Faith is definitely getting back on track: she GIGGLED! Either that's the first sign of the next apocalypse or Faith has learned to act as a normal young women for the first time in her life. Hope its the latter. Seriously, it was cool to see Faith trying to give Andrew the confidence to with an attractive man being interested while also groping towards how to deal with her attraction to the very straight Cordelia. I like that she's accepted that, even if still not sure how to handle it. It'd a situation to confuse anyone! Well, we now know why Patrick was not a good dad: in (and out, in and out, of prison the whole time like as not. Irish Mob maybe? Southie is their stronghold after all). Nonetheless he seems to care in his own way. To bad for anyone who hurt his little girl though: an Irish mobster is NOT someone you want with a feud against you! Meanwhile Annie apparently tried her best to ensure Faith was taken care of while she dealt with her own demons. Likely the best decision in the long run, though it seems some damage had already been done. I just hope Annie comes to realize she's far from the only one at fault for what happened to Faith. Now I wonder how Amanda and Cordy's day went. Especially as it seems Amanda is lookin' at playing cupid! On a long term "so what's coming up" note. Faith is the Watcher for Amanda and obviously not lookign to work with the new Council Buffy and Giles are setting up. Thus, on their own. However in Andrew Faith got a decent shaman and a good researcher (and eager to please). Faith also has access to the Fang Gang with their fire power, connections, assets, and brains. All like, respect, and admire Faith for what she did for them and Angel. Well, Wes is likely a tad cautious, but lets be frank; he's scarier than Faith by a long-shot now! The rest just know that Faith literally risked death, several times, to save Angel and LA as a whole... and succeeded! Thus the genuine respect and admiration. Besides, NONE of them have any serious moral high ground over Faith...well maybe Lorne, but he genuinely likes Faith (maybe even loves her in a hero-worship sorta way) and doesn't care what she did in the past: not relevant to him. Point is that Faith is NOT alone, and once she gets over her need to prove she can do the Watcher thing, she can avoid Giles "go at it alone" approach and use every resource LA gives her. Hell, look up Kate even. She was one tough, skilled detective, has a bone to grind with W&H and much of the supernatural in general, and cops and ex-cons work together more often than not anyhow! Plus Lockley can teach Faith to fight again (both would have similar styles. Looks to be a long story, so feel free to have folks wander on in! Next is working out Faith and the new Council's relationship long-term...but I'll just PM ya! The Cracker! |

i didn't understand this chapter, well almost, are the dreams faith is having slayer dreams? and if so then why doesn't she tell someone about them? |
| 29th Jul 12 Ch: 21 |
AH, that was very touching, it brought a tear to my eye! very moving chapter! |
| 22nd Jul 12 Ch: 20 |
i really like the way your slowly bringing about cordy and faiths relationship, not just throwing them into it! faith and amanda rehashing the fair, like they both weren't there together, very real, nice job with that. why would amanda think faith would just abandon her? and cor being able to out run faith, a simple reminder to faith that shes not a slayer and needs to work out. very good job and a really good chapter! |

Author Feedback: I'm very happy you like it! I've always worried about my characterizations, so I'm glad you like the way I'm writing it. Next update on Sunday! |

Howdy, The people who wanted ta use this as a background, well...uh that would be me. So...thanks for the permission and if it ever leaves the dinner table, you'll get FULL written credit. At the table, well, its just a collection of notes so I'll let the group know its your idea. As for the chapter, I'm glad ta see it back and liked seein' Faith's first 'normal' night bein' such a success. Seems like Amanda and Andrew are turnin' inta siblings almost and Faith is now pretty content. Once Angel confirms things the info looks ta be quite a bomb. I can't see Faith handlin' it too well. On the other hand, she seems ta have developed some real strength now and may surprise everyone. I was happy ta see Cordy follow her instincts and be honest with Faith. I figure Faith respects that more than pleasant lies, even when the truth hurts. I imagine Cordy will show her pleasure at this 'new' Faith with a little 'pick me up' gift the next day or so. I'm also wonderin' if Faith ain't gonna go and learn herself some martial arts and so on to compensate for her loss of Slayer powers. It seems logical she'll still have her Potential instincts an gifts even if her 'Slayer-ness' is gone. Just an idea. Happy ta see ya back! |
